  36. The PRESIDENT'S Desk 
  37. Users Group‚Ñ¢. The month of December 
  38. 1990 is upon us and we can all be grateful 
  39. for a great year. During this month we 
  40. have our annual Christmas party 
  41. scheduled for December 20, 1990 with a 
  42. fantastic give away and several vendors 
  43. and members in attendance showing 
  44. their Mac Creations! Here are the details:
  45. AMUG and Computers Plus give away a 
  46. Macintosh Classic!
  47. On December 20, 1990 AMUG will host 
  48. it's annual Christmas show with vendors 
  49. and members showing us their latest and 
  50. greatest. During this Christmas Party 
  51. AMUG and Computers Plus of 2303 N. 44th 
  52. Street #2, Phoenix, AZ 85008 will sponsor 
  53. a joint Mac Classic give away. This 
  54. exciting event will be a first in AMUG 
  55. history and we invite you to join us. 
  56. Tickets are available for $1.00 each at the

  65. event was more successful than our wildest dreams. Over $13,000.00 was raised for future AMUG events as a result of the 
  66. gracious bids of many. One comment that 
  67. I kept hearing through the auction was 
  68. when can we do this again? The second 
  69. comment was that many members would 
  70. like to auction off all of their software 
  71. that is no longer in use. As a result of 
  72. these requests a committee will be formed 
  73. to research whether an AMUG member- ship  Auction would be possible. A certain percentage of all items sold would also help fund AMUG future projects. If you are interested in placing items in the auction or serving on the committee please write me with your items at 718 E. Campbell Ave.,

  83. classes for beginners and advanced 
  84. AMUG members alike, from now on the 
  85. upstairs conference room at the Howard 
  86. Johnson's will be reserved each month 
  87. for AMUG Beginners classes starting at 
  88. 6:00PM on the third Thursday of each 
  89. month in conjunction with the main 
  90. meeting. This room will cost AMUG 
  91. additional funds each month but the 
  92. training is needed and will help educate 
  93. our members. Please support the "Best of" 
  94. disk series and renew your membership 
  95. so that we can fund these additional 
  96. expenses. Also, Dorman Bullard our Tempe 
  97. Coordinator has established a progressive 
  98. series of Macintosh
  99.  classes at the 
  100. Pyle Recreation 
  101. Center on 
  102. Saturdays
